Mike has over 35 years building experience in both the residential and commercial sectors starting off his building career in Canberra in 1988.
Mike has been building quality homes in Canberra and Queanbeyan and also became the preferred builder for Harkaway Homes in this region. Some of his commercial building showcases are Gourmet Deli in the Belconnen Mall in 1997 and again in 2003, Jerravente Restaurant in Jerrabomberra (160 seat), and refurbishment of all of Kingsley’s Chicken restaurants in Canberra.
Since moving to the Whitsundays in 2004 to combine his passion of building and fishing, Mike has designed and built homes to suit the clients’ needs in Cannonvale, Jubilee Pocket, Cannon Valley, Bowen, and refurbishment of homes including bathrooms and kitchens and commercial offices in Airlie Beach and Proserpine.
Opposite Centro in Whitehaven Crescent, Cannonvale you will see the first two houses in this development (18 and 20) which Mike designed and constructed to meet the requirements of the developer with two high end houses with 4 bdr, 2.5 bathrooms, separate parent retreat living. Each with 2 levels of 44sqm decks, made to measure bi-fold doors and a swimming pool.
Mike enjoys a challenge and one of Mike’s highlights is the design and construction of a 9 x 4.5m pool elevated to 6m to meet lower deck of high-set house on the steep slope of Stonehaven Crescent, Airlie Beach.
Projects that Mike has worked on in Townsville include numerous decks, patios and carports, Belgian Gardens State School bicycle shelter, construction of the smoke house at Cactus Jacks Saloon and the Red Rooster shelter at 1300Smiles Stadium.
